This LED mask utilizes the photodynamic principle to activate deeper layers of the dermis for the skin to better metabolize. After being absorbed by the outer skin layer, the light energy is converted into energy inside of the skin cell. The skin cell then relaxes to strengthen the microvasculature, which produces a photochemical reaction enzymatic reaction with the skin and in turn increases the activity of catalase and superoxide dismutase (SOD). These two chemicals serve to “sanitize” and “clean” the cell, which increases the decomposition of ATP, the energy source of our cells.
Further benefits of the LED light technology include the overall promotion of cell metabolism and synthesis, which helps to increase the content of glycogen and protein, stimulates the production of collagen and the basic synthetic fiber growth factor (bFGF) and epidermal growth factor (EGF) in the skin cells. These growth factors are responsible for producing collagen fibers and improving elasticity, eliminating the formation of melanin, accelerating cell growth, and enhancing overall skin health.
